eye to eye
whose skin paints mottled trout
spring’s surprise
exposed by sleeping trees
slippers ground
a golden dollop hung
season found
a hidden treat for you
pause don’t pass
forgetting winter’s glove
spring at last
orange swims on land new-greened,
delightful season’s dream.
